sammy keyes and the cold hard cash (****)

I thought this book was a really great mystery because of all of the suspense. When Sammy walks up the fire escape, as she always does, a man opens the door. Sammy quickly tries to hide from him but he sees her. He was so startled that he fell down and stayed there. He said look in my pocket and Sammy did. What she found inside that pocket is what changed her life. She pulled out three wads of cold, hard, cash. Then right before he died he said to throw them away, and to do it quickly. Sammy did not listen. She bought a ton of food, a bathing suit for herself and a bathing suit for her best friend, Marrissa. Then when a fancy man shows up at her over sized neighbor's door and invites her to play bingo (she called it a date) Sammy realized that something suspicious was going on. Read the book to find out what.

This book is 293 pages long, it was a short read for me. I will give it four out of five stars (****.)
