Eleven (****)

Have you ever wondered if you were kidnapped or adopted? Well the protagonist in this great mystery does. It all started when he went looking for his birthday presents in his attic and sees a interesting looking old trunk with a piece of paper sticking out from it. It had a picture of him on it and it said "missing," he went downstairs to his bedroom to think about it. It all very confusing, why would he be missing? Then he wondered if Mack (his grandpa) had kidnapped him but that seemed very unlikely. Then when a new girl arrives at school, Sam starts to make a plan. He will become friends with the new girl and she will help him open the trunk and read to him what is inside. Then when Sam's teacher assigns Caroline to help him with a castle for social studies it all works out even better than what he planned. Read the book to find out all that happens.

Keeper (***)

Keeper is a book about a girl who thinks that her mom is a mermaid so she sets out on a quest to see if she is right. Signe, who adopted Keeper, tells her that mermaids are not real. Nothing can change Keeper's mind. On the little boat with her dog who's name is BD (which stands for Best Dog) she starts to remember some things about her mother. Like on her third birthday her mother set her in a wooden bowl in the ocean and told her to ride the waves back to shore. It was Signe who rescued her and wrapped her up in a towel.
Read the book to find out if Keeper's mother really was a mermaid.

This book is 399 pages long. I will give it three out o five stars (***.)

Keeper Kathi Appelt

sammy keyes and the cold hard cash (****)

I thought this book was a really great mystery because of all of the suspense. When Sammy walks up the fire escape, as she always does, a man opens the door. Sammy quickly tries to hide from him but he sees her. He was so startled that he fell down and stayed there. He said look in my pocket and Sammy did. What she found inside that pocket is what changed her life. She pulled out three wads of cold, hard, cash. Then right before he died he said to throw them away, and to do it quickly. Sammy did not listen. She bought a ton of food, a bathing suit for herself and a bathing suit for her best friend, Marrissa. Then when a fancy man shows up at her over sized neighbor's door and invites her to play bingo (she called it a date) Sammy realized that something suspicious was going on. Read the book to find out what.

This book is 293 pages long, it was a short read for me. I will give it four out of five stars (****.)

Out of my Mind (*****)

This is definetly one of the best books I've ever read. It is about a girl who is eleven and she has never spoken a single word in her life due to Cerebral Palsy. She is smarter than the average grown educated adult and remembers every little thing that happened in her life. Then she gets a new computer like device so she can communicate with people. Read more to find out what happens.

This book is 295 pages long. I'll give it five out of five stars (*****.)
